Djibouti – The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Djibouti, H.E. Nasa Ege, officially welcomed the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, upon his arrival at Djibouti International Airport.
The warm reception reflected the deep-rooted friendship and growing cooperation between Djibouti and Somalia, two neighboring nations bound by cultural, linguistic, and historical ties.
President Hassan Sheikh’s visit comes as part of continued regional engagement aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in areas of youth empowerment, sports development, and socio-economic collaboration.
Minister Nasa Ege expressed Djibouti’s commitment to further expanding partnerships with Somalia, emphasizing that the youth of both nations are key to shaping a prosperous and peaceful Horn of Africa.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is expected to meet with Djiboutian leaders to discuss ongoing joint initiatives, including regional integration, security cooperation, and youth development programs.
