Beijing, China – Hon. Mohamed Jibril Mohamed, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Djibouti, attended the 9th Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) alongside President Ismail Omar Guelleh, participating in discussions on strengthening China-Africa partnerships and advancing regional stability and development.

During the summit, President Guelleh addressed the success of China-Africa cooperation, highlighting shared values of mutual respect, sincerity, and results-driven collaboration. He emphasized the importance of addressing transnational security threats, regional conflicts, and climate challenges through multilateral engagement and robust cooperation mechanisms.

As President in office of IGAD, President Guelleh briefed the forum on the situation in the Horn of Africa, including ongoing crises in Sudan, South Sudan, and Ethiopia-Somalia relations, calling for coordinated regional solutions and peace-building initiatives.
