Nairobi, Kenya – August 21, 2025 Djibouti’s Minister of Youth and Sports, H.E. Nasa Ige, conducted an official visit to Nairobi, Kenya, to discuss enhanced bilateral cooperation in sports management and youth exchange programs.
During his visit, Minister Ige held talks with Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs and Sports, focusing on talent development, regional tournaments, and shared training facilities. Both sides agreed to establish a joint youth-sports coordination committee to monitor ongoing collaborations and organize youth camps twice a year.
The Minister toured Nairobi’s National Sports Academy, where he met young athletes and exchanged ideas on improving sports governance and youth participation. He praised Kenya’s achievements in athletics and expressed Djibouti’s readiness to learn from its success.
The visit reaffirmed Djibouti’s vision to use sports as a bridge for cultural diplomacy and youth empowerment within East Africa.
